16th Biennial BDA Design Awards Program 2024

To acknowledge excellence in urban planning and architecture, innovative and creative design solutions, and preservation of historic structures and places in Berkeley.

The 2024 Design Awards Program is now open. Submit your project for consideration!

Every two years, Berkeley Design Advocates holds the BDA Design Awards. A jury considers applications submitted by design professionals, owners, and builders of new projects, renovation and restoration works, and urban design plans in the City of Berkeley. Projects that exemplify the best in architecture, landscape architecture, preservation and planning are selected by the jury for an award.

Applications are due by 5:00pm on February 24, 2025. Award recipients will be notified of the jury’s decision by April 23, 2025.  The Awards ceremony will be held May 14, 2025, early evening, at the Aurora Theater in Berkeley.
